Course Objectives

• Understanding Power Pivot: The course will teach participants about Power Pivot and its features, including the ability to create data models, work with large datasets, and create relationships between tables.

• Importing and organizing data: Participants will learn how to import data from various sources, such as Excel spreadsheets, text files, and databases, and how to organize the data into tables and columns for use in Power Pivot.

• Creating relationships between tables: Participants also will know how to create relationships between tables, including one-to-many and many-to-many relationships, and how to manage those relationships in the data model.

• Creating calculated fields: Participants will be trained how to create calculated fields using DAX formulas, including creating measures and calculated columns.

• Creating pivot tables and charts: Participants will know how to create pivot tables and charts using the data model, and how to customize the appearance of those pivot tables and charts.

After attending this course, students will :

• Become familiar with the Power Pivot application and import data.

• Manipulate data in a Power Pivot worksheet.

• Create reports using Power Pivot data.

• Use DAX functions in Power Pivot
